II. TECHNICAL CONDITIONS

1. PARTICIPANT SELECTION AND REGISTRATION

  • Competitors from all over the World are welcome to attend the first Horseback Archery Open World Championships.

  • Each nation will be allowed to enter up to four competitors. This includes both Junior and Senior competitors.

  • Competitors are juniors between the ages of 14-17 years of age. Ie they were born after 1st Jan 2001. See the IHAA General Rules for further details of the age categories and rules.

  • Each nation is responsible for selecting their own delegates. Please work with your IHAA or Country representative to determine how these selections will be made.

  • Once selections have been made, your IHAA or country rep will submit the list of attendees to us and prepare the competition Registration Form available to the selected individuals.
    Initially select 4 competitors per nation: Fill out the
    Registration Form and submit no later than April 1st.

  • After April 1st, if there are empty places remained, we are ready to accommodate up to two additional competitors from each nation that has already filled their quota of four. The additional competitors should meet the qualification standards of having IHAA HA3 grade, ie scoring at least 90 points on the Hungarian-99 track and 75 points on the Korean 235 track, each on 2 occasions within the last 2 years, as per the IHAA grading rules. Additional competitors, your representative will send you the Registration Form.
    Additional 2 competitors per nation: Please fill out the Registration
    Form and submit no later than April 15th.

  • Following April 15th , if there are still empty places remained, the registration will be opened to all who wish to attend. Your representative will distribute the Registration Form to those who are interested in attending, and fulfil their country’s selection criteria.
    Open registration (All others who wish to compete):
    Please fill out the Registration Form and submit no later than June 1st.

  • The host country will be allowed double the standard number of delegates.

  • There are 10 places reserved for those people who contributed with their time and efforts to the organisation of this competition. Without them, this event would not be possible!

  • Total number of competitors is limited to 140 people.

2. COMPETITION INFORMATION:

  • The competition will happen on three types of tracks: Korean 2-3-5, Hungarian-99 and Polish.

    • Korean 2-3-5: 2 runs of each track, 6 runs in total
    • Hungarian-99: 9 runs
    • Polish: 2 runs

  • All competitors should wear smart team clothing, whether modern or traditional in style.

  • Each nation is responsible for selecting their own delegates. Please work with your IHAA or Country representative to determine how these selections will be made.

  • During the competition days of 5th, 6th, and 7th of July, all competitors will complete the three different tracks. In advance of the competition the national rep should inform the organiser (in writing/by email)
    of the 4 competitors comprising their national team, all other riders from that country will compete only for individual titles. The top three combined scores from a team, from competition on 5-7 July, will be added to determine the team score for the World Championships’ team ranking.

  • Competitors with the highest overall scores will qualify for the Final. On the 8th of July, they will compete for the title of World Champion. There will be 10 participants selected for the Senior Championships and 10 selected for the Junior Championships.

  • Competitors participating on July 8th Championships Day will complete the following:

    • Korean 3: 3 runs
    • Hungarian: 3 runs
    • Polish: 1 runs
  • Competitors will start the Championships Day with 50% of the score they achieved over the first three days of competition in order to balance the reduced number of runs in the Final

  • The final score of these competitors will be comprised of: 50% their score from the first three days of competition, and 50% their score from finals day.
